(吉隆坡）財政部副部長拿督斯里阿旺阿迪說，政府正在認真考慮合法化賭球，以更有效監督賭球風，知道賭球收注數額以及政府能夠從中抽稅以發展運動。

他表示，若政府有意合法化賭球，政府將在今年6月舉行的世界杯足球賽前批發賭球准證。

“如果我們要在世界杯開賽前合法化賭球，那麼我們就會在世界杯前批發准證；我們不能在世界杯過後才這麼做。但是我們需要等待確實的落實日期。”

阿旺阿迪今日（週四，5月6日）在上議院回答馬華吳复興上議員的問題時表示，政府可以考慮給予“卜基”執照收取賭球費，合法化賭球，以便政府能夠監督賭球情況和抽稅發展運動。

阿旺阿迪較後在國會走廊受詢時進一步說，如果政府批准在世界杯賭球，其他的足球聯賽如英格蘭足球超級聯賽也是一樣能賭球。

他表示，目前已有一些公司向政府申請賭球准證，但基於政府尚未做出決定，因此不便透露公司身份。

“當政府有了決定，每個人就會知道了（公司身份）。”

世界杯將由6月11日開始至7月11日

KUCHING: Ignorance on dyslexia and its symptoms risk some undergraduates in local universities being kicked out from their universities for under performing.

A research by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) reveals that about 4% students in the country’s tertiary institutions are dyslexic – a learning difficulty that affects reading and writing, said Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

“These students cannot cope well in their studies, they fail their examinations and have to re-sit their papers.

“They were on the verge of being kicked out until they were diagnosed as dyslexics and given another chance of repeating a semester,” he said in a speech read out by Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin who represented the Chief Minister at the launch of Dyslexia Association of Sarawak’s inaugural newsletter and charity dinner on Saturday.

Taib, therefore, called on the association to create greater awareness on dyslexia and its symptoms so that parents, teachers and lecturers could identify children and students with the disorder and take appropriate measures to assist them.

He suggested that a seminar on dyslexia be organised to create public awareness, particularly among parents, teachers and lecturers.

Dyslexia Association of Sarawak president Professor Dr Ong Puay Hoon called for more vocational and community colleges to be set up for dyslexic students and qualified medical personnel to assess children with the disorder at government clinics.

Early detection and intervention was important because children with dyslexia looked normal but as they progressed in schools and universities, they could not cope up like normal students and may drop out from schools eventually, she said.

“Abandonment can push these children to crimes. Unimas’ research also shows that one in seven young prisoners in Sekolah Integriti is dyslexic or having other disabilities,” she said.

Meanwhile, Bernama reported Sunday that adolescents with learning difficulties who have dropped out of school could turn to a non-governmental organisation called the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Network for help.

The organisation virtually guarantees them jobs after they complete a one-year training programme which arms them with, among others, business skills and right attitude towards work.

Efforts were also underway to provide small business opportunities for them, CBR Network Malaysia president Noor Yasmin Abdul Karim told Bernama in Kuala Lumpur.

She explained that the network was targeting dyslexics, those with Down's Syndrome, autistics and other groups of slow learner adolescents who were school dropouts.

At present, these categories of adolescents had few avenues for training and were unable to find proper employment or business opportunities to be able to gainfully contribute to the nation, she said.

The Malaysian chapter of the network is affiliated to the Asia Pacific CBR Network.

Noor Yasmin, who is also the chairperson for the Asia Pacific CBR Network, said the first batch of six trainees had begun their training and were now doing their practical at the Fraser's Hill Resort in Pahang.

"Initial evaluation has shown that they are coping well and the employer is happy with their work," she said.

She is confident that with the holistic training modules provided, CBR Network would be able to assist the trainees to be independent and able to contribute meaningfully to the society.

She said there were still six places available in this pioneer batch and that interested parents could contact the network at 03-7948 5305 or email at cbrnetworkmalaysia.

卫生总监：8宗输入·2宗本地大马增10宗确诊病例

(吉隆坡23日讯）卫生部总监丹斯里依斯迈宣布，国内在24小内再增加10宗A(H1N1）型流感确诊病例，其中8宗为输入性传染，另外2宗则是本地传染。他说，在本土传染的病例中，一名是与第42宗案件患者接触后感染A型流感，而另一名则是与接触第36宗案件患者后受感染。

他说，第42宗案件患者是来自士里贞峇卡国际学校，而第36宗案件患者是来自州立华小。

依斯迈今日召开记者会，向媒体作出这项宣布。他说，在8宗输入性传染病例中，5宗病例患者是大马人民，另外3个患者则是来自也门、瑞士和意大利。 “目前，我国总共有68宗A流感确诊病例，这包括59宗是输入性病例和9宗本地传染病例。”

From calculation from calculator, reduction of 3% of individual rate, will provides increament of domestic market cash liquility, it looks or sound very effective for short term problem solving or methodology to stable the country economics....

But unfortunately, this is a good news for either low incomers or high incomers.... sigh, it is M social issue again... those who are very poor get benefit from government, but government also take care on those are very rich!!! It means middle range of citizen is most suffer from economic crisis!!

If i am PLUS user, should i happy on PLUS announcement yesterday??? Sure, i should happy, coz this is PLUS company first time give rebate or bonus to highway user (should called as payer)... Even though only a little rebate for off-peak hours, but it still consider as gud news, rite??

So, Dont blame Highway Toll again, they are business companies too, the objective of business is earn money... when rebate or bonus given, it is reduce d earning, rebate 10% means little for payers but it is a lot for companies... 10cents for each payer, can reduce the RM10k for company daily, 10k mean 300k each month, 300k can do alot of activities for company, such as highway maintenence, increament salary for company stuff, etc...

IF i hav one million ringgit now, wat will i do now??? wah!! RM1 million ler!!! sure very happy n so excited.... After think here n there... wah... so many things to do with one million ringgit ah... erm... hav to manage this money carefully else it will disappear very fast...

If i hav one million ringgit now, i will divided it into two parts, one part called as investment part, named it as MyIF (My investment fund). MyIF will be allocated bout RM0.5 million ringgit. it will cover d investment in property, share, unit trust, n conventional business. now almost near to d suitable to buy property, share in unit trust coz it is big bear now!!! hahahaha... it is a gud chance.... when everyone worry, thn it is d time... i believe in life cycle.... life cycle mean d a life will repeat the cycle again n again, so after d market down, it also mean it will up very soon.... wat is conventional business?? it is something business which oledi successfull operate business... like KFC, Starbucks, etc... all this famous businesses r gud example of conventional business, y called it as conventional business?? coz they operated well n d trends of their business always been studied by competitors but they still can survive in d market!!!!

如果有理，何必恐懼對話？

我國憲法賦於國人宗教自由，但幾乎任何一名馬來西亞人都知道，馬來人必須是回教徒，其實沒有宗教自由；至於其它族裔，如果改信回教，退教面對威嚇，麻煩又困難。在此情況下，大馬回教給予國人的印像幾乎就是可進不可出，憲法賦於公民的宗教自由權益意義蕩然無存。

大馬律師公會有鑒於此，決定主辦公開講座探討改教事宜與宗教自由在憲法的意義，並邀各方權威交流對話，但遺憾的是，這項原本意義重大的理性交流，卻因宗教原教旨主義的狂熱與野蠻，而被迫腰斬。他們認為這講座侵犯回教！回教如此脆弱不堪乎？竟然需要有人恫言以暴力保護？更何況一個探討憲法宗教自由的講座，如何侵犯回教？

有人以為宗教是敏感課題，不應公開討論。這種話基本存有二大謬誤，第一，這講座不只涉及宗教，亦與憲法有關，即有關憲法，沒有理由不能公開討論。第二，回教黨不斷強調建立回教國，即然宗教是敏感課題，為何他們又不厭其煩公開論述，強調建立回教國的目標？

明顯的，問題之所以敏感，在於宗教原教旨主義的蠻橫。當宗教信徒只能訴諸自己的宗教經典，並將其價值或自己對有關經典的詮釋，強加於其它人身上，勉強他人遵守，只能公開遵循和支持，不能公開置疑或討論。這就是宗教原教旨主義的特色，他們的宗教經典大過天！

更可怕的還是，只有他們可以決定有關經典如何解讀與詮釋，任何與之迥異的解讀，都是錯誤，沒有對話的可能性。公開討論，就等於侵犯有關宗教。

不要以為只有回教原教旨主義如此，更不要把之與回教掛鉤，或以為這是回教特色，基督教原教旨主義、猶太教原教旨主義等，也是一樣。

21世紀，宗教原教旨主義大行其道，確實令人震撼遺憾。宗教原教旨主義從過去支持奴隸制度、反對學校教授進化論、反對女性平權運動、反對宗教自由、反對同性戀，其特色都是同出一轍，即只能純粹訴諸宗教經典，而且是只有他有自由與權力解讀有關經典，反對對話。

這種原教旨主義的心理，其實源自嚴重的自卑與恐懼，杯弓蛇影，草木皆兵。因為驚惶，因為沒有料，只能以高壓手段打壓異見，藉拳頭和暴力給自己壯膽。

不過，在批評回教原教旨主義之餘，讓我們反省自己是否亦有原教旨主義的思維與心理。

IF i am Proton Perdana, I always so proud to be the luxury national car in Malaysia. As the identity of national car, i had been travel around within Malaysia and always parked in front of high ranked hotels especially in Meetings, Conferences, Seminars of government's events.

IF i am Proton Perdana, I so pround because of provided low price but similar comfortable vechicle compare to other brands. But after long period of proud, today, i noticed that i am a 'problem vechicle' in Terrenganu... so sad... i am a luxury car but high expenses in maintainance... Y? y my maintainance fee is costly until can buy a new Proton Perdana actually... Now i kno d reason of private companies, organizations, citizen of Malaysia not support me... Because I m cheap, cheap in price but also 'cheap' of quality till it is expensive in maintainence. Today, i juz kno, Mercedes E200 Kompressor is more value added vechicle in Malaysia. So, Company Proton should 'kill' me and assembly model of Mercedes in Malaysia. =)

IF KLCI drop below 1000 points, is this mean the economy of malaysia is considered down?? IF u agree it is bad, but y its economy still not gud (i felt not gud lar) at end of last yr or early of this yr, the KLCI was reached to historical highest peak point- more than 1500 points. Do u felt d economy is gud at tat time??? no no no... at least i not felt gud at tat time. So, IF KLCI drop under 1000 points, will us felt d bad economy??? erm.. i think yes.. y??? y we cant felt d economy is gud either at highest point, or lowest point???

IF u r the investors, no matter local or oversea, do u willing invest in KLSE at d moment??? Cashout the money due to unstable politics in Malaysia and outher issues such as oil price and housing mortage in US... OR continue to invest due to d share's price is cheap compare to 1 yr past... Erm... so, u dare to invest now?? So the best choice is cashout d money and wait sometime, at least 16 september 2008. At the same time, look at the 10 days average of KLCI, if it is rise above the 100days avearage, thn it is the point or signal alert u to 'throw' money to battle war!!!

IF i am Batman, should i happy or not? erm.. If u r Batman, r u willing to sacrifice ur love and safe other ppl who is believed hop of the city... For me, i cant do tat... for me, i will choose to safe my love rather than save other guy....

IF i am Batman, why should i be d person who had to save the city but always not be appreciated... why should i so 'hardworking' to work at dark nite to protect d city without paid, and appreciated?? and this job always bring injury to me and less sleeping time....

IF i am Batman, y i always had to follow or obey d rules??? y i cant kill the joker but hav to bring him to jail?? Joker is a clever person, he is gud in pychology, bring fear to the public. So, conclusion is i cant be the Hero like Batman!!! Because i m not a rich man till able build so much advance weapons and i need to work so hard juz for a meal in life, haiz.... secondly, i cant choose to safe a guy n d love been sacrificed.. ... IF u stay in a country with d name of Malaysia.... now, u have to decide to have a mobile phone in this country, what u need to make sure the mobile phone is operated well is u have to sign up wif a local operator in this country... otherwise, u onli hang up ur phone as a display toy in ur house, other words, it is useless....

There are three famous local operators in Malaysia, named wif Dxxx, Cxxxxx, n Mxxxx. Of coz, still hav other choices like Uxxxxxx. Which operator will u choose??? Wat factors will affect ur decision on choosing a operator??? Price? Coverage? Services? etc...

Among three operators, y non of them are perfect wif low price, width coverage and gud services.... haiz... so, onli can choose the best operators suit to individual need... some using C operator due to d coverage which they need it for traveling to rural area. some using D operator due to its low price n better customer services. How bout M operator?? it seem like it is in d middle of C and D.... erm... it looks like it is enjoy the ranking between brand C and D. its price is cheaper than C but more expensive than D. It's coverage is better than D but poorer than C. It's customer service is better than C but poor than D... etc...

So, which operator should be choosen??? ha... headache rite?? But i always support the D operator. It is a telco considered as foreign telco which is Norway telco is the main shareholder of it.. but this reason always troublesome to d company due to country policies (country policies?? may b not...). Failed in tendered the 3G n Wimax licenses seems like the X files wif funny reason...

hehehe... at last, the main reason choosing D operator is becoz of i m using it ba... it's simply ur smarter choose.... =)

What happen to me if i am arrested by policemen??? izzit i will arrested by 20 police car and over 20 policemen??? sure not... y? Because i not a famous and powerful person....

If i am arrested, i think the maximum of policeman who will arrest me only have 2... one responsible as driver and the other will arrest me... y i not arrested with equal policemen compare with others?? y? haiz... the answer had already in our mind.... so, equalization in a country is a impossible issue.... BUT.... we need to find a way to minimize the gap between rich and poor citizen... we need to minimize the un-fair policy in education and opportunity... etc... so dream always there, and wish the dream come true one day.... =)
